Here's what happens to your hard work. The sidewalks get done over and grass plots are lame and seeded and then people like this think they can park on it! It's ruined! This person or homeowner should have to pay to fix it!

I'm afraid that the feeling by residents around town is that this law goes widely unenforced. Which unfortunately, for the most part is true. There seems to have been a renewed effort, to some extent, by the police department to step up enforcement.
Responding to complaints on see click fix, should be followed up by a more aggressive campaign.
These are some of the suggestions I would have.
1) Make more spontaneous and random stops to ticket the vehicles. It seems that all the reports I see in the paper of cars being ticketed are locations that were reported here. Violations all over town, whether reported or not, should be addressed as the police see them.
2) When ticketing vehicles, issue actual tickets instead of courtesy notices. These courtesy notices are not taken seriously .I see them thrown on the ground by drivers who find them after being illegally parked. The next day they're back again.
3) Start a public awareness campaign. I noticed in the Stoneham Independent, there is often a police blog or editorial. This week it was how to carve pumpkins safely. This is a great service by the police and I think it would be a great place to address the public safety issue of parking on the sidewalk and inform the public that there will be stepped up awareness to enforce this regulation. There is also Public Access TV that could be used for bulletins addressing the same issue.
It is a frustrating if you all over town for residents who would like to navigate sidewalks safely.
Thanks to the police for more aggressively enforcing this lately. I hope that in the near future, the common sense practice of not parking on sidewalks will be coming place in town.
