The light at this intersection is dangerous. Without a left signal, oftentimes the light will turn green and someone turning left doesn't know that the other side has a red light. This causes drivers to 1) pause before turning left because they think the oncoming traffic will be moving, or 2) keep turning left and become surprised when the traffic begins moving towards them. I've witnessed this confusion result in some unsafe situations multiple times.
