Trash is also an issue near the downed sign. The dead deer has finally been removed. I believe this is a RI Bridge Authority responsibility but Newport PW should hold RIBTA accountable for maintaining their property.

Bill -- Agreed. City of Newport should also weigh in often on safety aspects related to entire bridge re-alignment project. Basic safety-related directional signs could and should have been deployed "Day One" and not four weeks after new temporary roads were opened. Governmental "stovepiping" and bureaucratic "your lane-my-lane behaviors" are old school. We deserve much better.
