    Two stolen bikes were ditched in my driveway this evening. I've contacted Newport Police twice. They told me it was a public works issue and that I should try to get them removed by the city on Monday. Is this really how the city handles stolen property??? I had my bike stolen a few years ago, no wonder I never got it back, the city doesn't care!!!

    I live at 109 3rd st. My property abuts Hunter Park. Since the pickle ball courts have re opened, I have had to ask somebody to kindly move their car out of my driveway or not block my driveway NO LESS than once A-day. Sometimes several times a day. This evening I had to ask once again "whose car is this? Please move it out of my driveway ". My request of the 30 or so people down there was reciprocated with a man yelling back at me "excuse me? There's no sign there saying I can't park there. Ill park there." ITS MY PRIVATE DRIVEWAY!!! Private property!!! If I were to park in their driveways they would be all up in arms. But when I get upset about it, I'm often faced with rude, inconsiderate remarks back. This is the last time I will do the courtesy of asking someone to move. From now on cars will be getting towed. Its a nuisance and I would like to know what the city is going to do about this issue.
